G. Charles Brown Certified Appraisals of Asian Art and Antiques

Appraisal Services: FREE examination, see details below! I am one of the few Certified Appraisers in the United States who specializes in Asian antiquities, antiques and art. I am one of the few Certified Appraisers in the world who specializes in Fossil Identifications and Valuations, as I was the Curator of Paleontology at a Museum in Minnesota. Other areas I am adept at are; Militaria, Egyptian artifacts and Western fine art. I have done authentications, verifications and valuations of such famous European and American artist's works as: Chagall, Kipniss, Kouba, Picasso and Warhol, among others. I have dealt with items such as: traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean landscape paintings, jade carvings (jadeite, nephrite and simulants), porcelain, textiles, furniture, thanka's, bronzes (ancient and counterfeit), Tang and Han terracottas (ancient and counterfeit), Japanese wood block prints (ukiyo-e, shunga, etc.), ivory carvings, and various other items, from countries as diverse as: Afghanistan, Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Pakistan, the Hmong Cultures, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, the Koreas (United Korea, North Korea and South Korea), Laos, Malaysia, the Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Siam/Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Tibet, Turkey and Vietnam. I have been able to closely examine and handle such interesting antiquities at Beijing University in China as a 16,000-year-old necklace and one of the original terracotta warriors from the famous site at Xi'an as well as the more common Ming and Q'ing Dynasty items. I also had the privilege to have had access to fossils in their Department of Paleontology and other related institutes throughout China, which included the honor of being the first Westerner to examine their most recently found feathered dinosaur. My personal retail web site is located at: www.AsianAppraisals.com. Or, you can do a simple Goggle/Yahoo search for "Honest Asian Antiques".

I provide a FREE e-mail-photo-examination in order to find out if your items warrant further, in person, examination. I do not provide any values or information based on my free e-mail-photo-examinations except to figure out if it is worth the effort for us to get together to have me personally examine your piece(s). I have seen all the tricks to "purge" me for information, so, please give me the respect and do not try. Send an e-mail describing your items to the best of your ability, as well as informing me of how you acquired your items, when and for how much, and what city you are located in. Also attach CLEARLY TAKEN, WELL LIGHTED images of each piece in it's entirety, a top views, side views, bottom views, any interesting details, any marks/signatures/characters/stamps and all damage. Please send all of this to gcbrownphotos@gmail.com. I generally will get back to you within 48 - 72 hours during the regular work week. I am sorry, but if the Photos are NOT clear and easily visible, I will not examine them and I will not reply! There are far too many people sending me clear images for me to use my time any other way, I am sure you understand. My Mission Statement: With all the deception that is taking place in the world of Asian antiques today my goal is to develop a place where collectors and buyers of Antique and Modern Asian Art and Antiquities can come to get professional help. I also provide a trusted Asian Art and Antiques website at: www.AsianAppraisals.com, where a customer can come to buy Oriental antiques and know that they will have complete confidence in what they are buying from my company. As a Certified Appraiser of Asian Art and Antiques, I have studied the subject in depth, and that is why I can be sure of the authenticity of all of my items I sell. Sincerely, G. Charles Brown.
